Salvatore Grasso was born in 1965 in Santa Venerina, a town on the slopes of Mount Etna. In 1994, he began his exploration of oil painting, a passion that would become a constant presence in his life. Initially, he focused on studying the techniques of 17th-century masters and Flemish painting.

After exploring various painting genres, he gradually concentrated on still life. His ornamental compositions combine natural elements and familiar objects, using them as a kind of visual language through which he pursues an analytical and focused investigation into the material qualities of color and form.

He lives and works in Zafferana Etnea.
