Richard T Scott, living in Connecticut, and working between New York and Paris, is a known for his contemporary classical paintings and his writings on aesthetic theory. A designer of coins and medals for the United States Mint, he has previously worked for Jeff Koons, and as studio assistant to Odd Nerdrum. Scott’s paintings have exhibited across Europe and North America, notably at The National Arts Club in NYC, Le Grand Palais in Paris, and Palazzo Cini in Venice. His work is in private and public collections, notably the former British Arts Minister Alan Howarth, the Austrian Embassy in Oslo, Prince Morad El Hattab, and Robert C. Kennedy Ph.D. His work has been auctioned at Sotheby’s and Phillips de Pury & Co. via “Take Home A Nude”. Scott has been published extensively in print, film and radio. He was selected as one of “25 Artists of Tomorrow” by American Artist Magazine. Scott is a contributing essayist for American Arts Quarterly, and contributing author of The Nerdrum School, published by Arvinius + Orfeus Nov, 2013. He lives in Connecticut and works between New York and Parigi.
